Not Just A Bookstore is a distributor of herbal loose teas and all natural soaps and oils. The Cheek's are watching the vision become a reality once again when they will open their doors to their new location in the beautiful Grove Neighborhood 4507 Manchester on December 4, 2010. Connie has found a way to use her spiritual gift: the gift of help to empower the minds, body and souls of individuals through reading.
Building Our Community One Book At A Time...
Not Just A Bookstore opened its doors on December 1, 2007. It started as a vision of Connie Cheek's, when God spoke to her early one morning. The vision was simple: "Empowerment Through Books."
Connie always felt that books empower people through knowlege, which leads to healing of all sorts.
After sharing her experience with her husband, Richard Cheek, he too, came to share the vision.
Connie and Richard envision the bookstore as a home for authors to do their book signings as well as for customers to gain knowledge and empower their minds, body and spiritual souls through reading. They hope to have their new location as a community hub for all ages.
